Privacy

It's Easy To Be has no accounts, no adverts and no third-party ad or marketing trackers. We measure enough to know which guides people read and which AI assistants send them here — and nothing more.

Analytics, and your choice

We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union. What it does depends entirely on the banner:

Which AI assistant sent you

Publishing for AI agents is the point of this site, so we need to know which ones actually cite us. When a visit arrives from a generative engine such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude, our server records the engine’s name and the page visited. This happens on our server rather than in your browser, so it works even if you block scripts, and it never sets a cookie or depends on your banner choice. If you accepted analytics we do read the id from the cookie already in your browser, purely so the visit is recognised as part of the same session as everything else you did. If you did not, we never read it, and the visit is counted under the daily hash described below instead.

We store the referring site’s origin only, never the full link, which can carry search terms. Your IP address is never stored: it is shortened to remove the final part, combined with a secret only our server holds, and turned into a hash that changes every day.

The path planner

What you type into the planner — your field of study, certifications, years of experience — is used to compute your result and then discarded. It is never written to our database, and it is never sent to our analytics. That stays true even if you ask for an introduction below: what we store then is the computed gap, in our own published wording, never your text. Unless you rejected analytics, we record only that a plan was run, for which role and country, how many of the four optional fields you filled in, and how the result came out in aggregate. That is what tells us which guides are worth deepening.

Links to programmes

Some guides — and the planner’s results — show links to courses, tools and programmes that can close a requirement gap. Links marked Sponsoredare paid placements, always labelled, and never change which requirements we say are missing or the order anything appears in. Following one takes you to that provider’s own site and tells them which guide and which kind of requirement the link related to — never who you are, never anything you typed, and never your analytics id. From there, their site sees your visit exactly as any link on the web does.

Asking for an introduction

Under a plan result you may see an option to be introduced to a named training partner. It is entirely optional, the free links work without it, and nothing happens unless you type your email and tick the consent box — which names the partner and says plainly that they pay us. If you do, we store your email address and your computed gap — which requirements are missing, in our own words, never the details you typed — and share exactly that with the one partner named. We keep this for up to 24 months, and you can withdraw at any time via the contact form (or by emailing privacy@itseasytobe.com), which also removes it from the partner’s side under our agreement with them.

What we never do

Contacting us

If you write to us through the contact form, we store your message, your email address and the name you chose to give — because you asked us to reply. It is used for that correspondence and nothing else, never added to any marketing list, and deleted within 24 months of the conversation ending, or immediately on request.

Who we are

It’s Easy To Be is operated by Creative Beach Studio SL, a company registered in Spain, which is the data controller for everything described on this page. Contact it for anything here via the contact form or privacy@itseasytobe.com.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it. We hold no account for you, and unless you accepted analytics we hold no stable identifier either — so in most cases there is genuinely nothing to look up. Ask anyway and we will tell you exactly what we found.

Questions, requests or complaints: use the contact form or email privacy@itseasytobe.com.
